• Reconstitution (CRITICAL):
  1. Inject the Sodium Bicarbonate into the powder vial. Shake until clear.
  2. Add the Sodium Chloride to dilute.
  3. Administer immediately by slow IV or IM.
• Important: DO NOT use Water for Injection as the first solvent.

Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):

• Dosing Accuracy: Because the vial is small, use a 1ml syringe (tuberculin syringe) for administration to ensure the exact volume is delivered to the infant.
• Post-Artesunate Delayed Hemolysis (PADH): Monitor hemoglobin levels post-treatment.
