• Electrolyte Imbalance: Chronic use or abuse can lead to severe loss of potassium (hypokalemia), dehydration, and muscle weakness. Not for long-term daily use.
• Lazy Bowel Syndrome: Long-term reliance can cause “cathartic colon,” where the bowel loses its natural ability to contract without medication.
