• Osteoarthritis: Typically 200 mg per day, administered as a single 200 mg dose or as 100 mg twice daily.
• Rheumatoid Arthritis: Typically 100 mg to 200 mg twice daily.
• Acute Pain: 400 mg initially on the first day, followed by 200 mg twice daily as needed.

Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):

• BLACK BOX WARNING (Cardiovascular Risk): Like all NSAIDs, Celecoxib may cause an increased risk of serious, potentially fatal cardiovascular thrombotic events, myocardial infarction (heart attack), and stroke. It is strictly contraindicated for the treatment of peri-operative pain in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.
• BLACK BOX WARNING (Gastrointestinal Risk): Although safer than non-selective NSAIDs, Celecoxib can still cause severe GI bleeding, ulceration, and perforation, especially in the elderly or those with a prior history of peptic ulcer disease.
• Sulfonamide Allergy: Celecoxib contains a sulfonamide moiety. It is strictly contraindicated in patients who have demonstrated allergic-type reactions to sulfonamides (sulfa drugs).
