Product Overview
Amoxycillin is a bactericidal Broad-Spectrum Penicillin that acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It is highly effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
It is the “Standard Daily Antibiotic” for:
- Respiratory Infections: Pneumonia, Shipping Fever, and Bronchitis in cattle and calves.
- Mastitis: Systemic treatment of mastitis caused by Streptococcus and Staphylococcus.
- Enteritis: Bacterial diarrhea and Salmonella infections in young animals.
- Secondary Infections: Prevention of bacterial infections following viral diseases.

Therapeutic Indications & Usage

Dosage & Administration
General Guidelines (As per Vet Prescription):
- Standard (15%): 7 to 10 mg/kg body weight (approx. 1 ml per 15-20 kg) once daily for 3-5 days.
- Long Acting (20%): 15 mg/kg body weight (approx. 1 ml per 10-15 kg). Repeat after 48 hours if necessary.
- Route: Deep Intramuscular (IM) injection.
Precautions:
- Shake Well: Always shake the vial well before use to resuspend the active ingredient.
- Withdrawal Period: Meat: 18-28 days. Milk: 3-5 days (Check local regulations).
- Allergy: Do not use in animals hypersensitive to Penicillins.
