- Renal Adjustment: Piracetam is excreted unchanged by the kidneys. Dose MUST be reduced in renal impairment (CrCl < 80 ml/min).
Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):
- Bleeding Risk: Due to its effect on platelet aggregation, use with caution in patients with severe hemorrhage, undergoing major surgery, or on anticoagulants (Warfarin).
- Renal Failure: CONTRAINDICATED in End-Stage Renal Disease (CrCl < 20 ml/min).
