Therapeutic Indications (Veterinary Use Only)
Indicated for Swine, Cattle, Sheep, and Goats:
- Piglet Anemia: Prophylaxis and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in neonatal pigs.
- Calf Anemia: Treatment of anemia in calves (especially veal calves) raised on milk-only diets.
- Parasitic Anemia: Supportive therapy for animals recovering from heavy worm infestation or blood parasites (e.g., Hookworm, Haemonchus).

Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Veterinarian):
- Route: Deep Intramuscular (IM) Only. (Usually in the neck muscle or ham).
- Piglets (Prevention): 1 mL to 2 mL (100mg – 200mg) on the 3rd day after birth.
- Piglets (Treatment): 2 mL when symptoms appear.
- Calves: 4 mL to 8 mL (400mg – 800mg) in the first week.
- Lambs: 3 mL to 4 mL.
- Withdrawal Period:
- Meat: 0 Days. (Note: Injection site may be stained for weeks).
- Milk: 0 Days.
Safety Warnings:
- Staining: Iron causes permanent brown staining of the muscle tissue at the injection site. Use the “Z-track” injection technique to minimize leakage into subcutaneous fat.
- Shock: Rarely, iron injection can cause anaphylactic shock or death in Vitamin E/Selenium deficient piglets. Ensure sows are well-nourished.
- Overdose: Toxic. Iron overload can cause liver failure. Do not exceed recommended dose.
