• Loading Dose: Often preceded by a loading dose of separate tablets (e.g., 300mg/600mg Clopidogrel + 300mg Aspirin) in acute settings.
• Duration: Typically 12 months post-stenting (DAPT duration), or longer based on bleeding risk.
• Administration: Take with food to further reduce gastric irritation.

Safety Warnings:

• Bleeding Risk (BLACK BOX WARNING): Increases the risk of bleeding (gastrointestinal, intracranial). Discontinue 5-7 days before any elective surgery (including dental work) to allow platelet function to restore.
• PPI Interaction: Omeprazole may reduce the antiplatelet effect of Clopidogrel (CYP2C19 inhibition). Pantoprazole is generally preferred if gastric protection is needed.
• Hypersensitivity: Do not use if allergic to NSAIDs or Aspirin (Asthma risk).
