Description
Cefuroxime & Sulbactam Injection
Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of synergistic second-generation cephalosporin combinations. We provide high-purity Cefuroxime & Sulbactam Injection (1.5g / 750mg), sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile injectable facilities. This “Bio-Shield” formulation is a top export to pulmonology units, surgical wards, and government health ministries in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as a superior alternative to plain Cefuroxime for treating polymicrobial infections and resistant community-acquired pathogens.
Product Overview
This formulation combines Cefuroxime, a second-generation cephalosporin with excellent respiratory tract penetration, and Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor.
The “Spectrum-Extender” Specialist:
- Synergy (The “Resistance” Breaker): While Cefuroxime is effective against many organisms, bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus and Haemophilus influenzae increasingly produce beta-lactamases to destroy it. Sulbactam binds to these enzymes, “sacrificing” itself to protect the Cefuroxime, thereby restoring its original potency.
- Anaerobic Coverage: Plain Cefuroxime has limited activity against anaerobes. The addition of Sulbactam significantly expands the spectrum to cover anaerobic bacteria (like Bacteroides), making this combo ideal for intra-abdominal infections and gynecological surgeries where mixed aerobic/anaerobic flora are present.
- Surgical Prophylaxis Plus: It offers broader protection than Cefuroxime alone for “clean-contaminated” surgeries, reducing the risk of Surgical Site Infections (SSIs).

Manufacturing Authority
Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.
- Hygroscopicity Management: Sulbactam Sodium is highly sensitive to moisture. We manufacture this combination in ultra-low humidity zones (< 20% RH) to prevent the powder from clumping or hardening, ensuring rapid reconstitution in the hospital setting.
- Compatibility Buffering: Cefuroxime and Sulbactam have different pH profiles. Our formulation is precisely buffered to ensure a neutral pH upon dissolution, minimizing injection site pain and preventing phlebitis during IV infusion.
Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)
Indicated for the treatment of polymicrobial and resistant infections:
- Respiratory Tract: Resistant Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP), Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis (AECB) caused by beta-lactamase producing bacteria.
- Surgical Prophylaxis: Abdominal, Pelvic, and Orthopedic surgeries (Preventing Post-Op Infection).
- Gynecology: Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) and post-partum infections.
- Skin & Soft Tissue: Diabetic foot infections (mild to moderate), abscesses.
- Bone & Joint: Septic arthritis where resistant Staph is suspected.
