Adenosine Injection IP (Veterinary)

Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of advanced veterinary cardiac therapeutics. We provide high-purity Adenosine Injection IP, sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile facilities. This rapid-acting antiarrhythmic agent is a niche export to specialized veterinary referral hospitals, equine cardiology centers, and university teaching clinics in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, used specifically for the acute termination of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT).

Product Overview

This formulation contains Adenosine, an endogenous nucleoside that acts as a potent transient AV-nodal blocker.

The “Cardiac Reset” Specialist:

  • Rapid Conversion: The drug of choice for the rapid conversion of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) back to a normal sinus rhythm.
  • Mechanism: Slows conduction time through the Atrioventricular (AV) node and interrupts the re-entry pathways that sustain the arrhythmia.
  • Ultra-Short Action: Has an incredibly short half-life (less than 10 seconds), ensuring that any side effects are transient and disappear quickly.
  • Diagnostic Aid: Helps differentiate between different types of tachyarrhythmias during ECG monitoring.

Manufacturing Authority

Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified veterinary units.

  • Crystallization Control: Adenosine can crystallize if refrigerated. Our formulation is stabilized for room temperature storage to ensure it is ready for immediate emergency use.
  • Particulate Free: Rigorous filtration ensures safety for rapid intravenous bolus administration.

Therapeutic Indications (Veterinary Use Only)

Indicated for Dogs and Horses (Specialist Use):

  • Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT): Termination of re-entrant SVT involving the AV node.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Used to reveal flutter waves or P-waves in complex arrhythmias by transiently blocking the AV node.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Veterinary Cardiologist):

  • Route: RAPID Intravenous (IV) Bolus Only. (Must be administered fast, followed immediately by a saline flush).
  • Dogs:
    • Initial Dose: 0.05 mg to 0.1 mg per kg body weight.
    • Repeat: If no response, dose can be increased to 0.2 mg/kg or 0.3 mg/kg.
  • Horses: Used less frequently; dosing protocols vary significantly based on cardiac status (Consult specialist literature).
  • Method: Use a large vein (cephalic or jugular) and flush with saline immediately to ensure the drug reaches the heart before it degrades.

Safety Warnings:

  • Bronchoconstriction: Adenosine can cause bronchospasm. Use with extreme caution in animals with airway disease (e.g., Asthma, Heaves).
  • Heart Block: Contraindicated in animals with 2nd or 3rd-degree AV block or Sick Sinus Syndrome (unless a pacemaker is in place).
  • Transient Effects: May cause a brief period of asystole (heart stopping) or bradycardia immediately after injection. This is expected and usually lasts only seconds.
