Therapeutic Indications (Veterinary Use Only)

Indicated for Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Swine, Dogs, and Cats:

• Sedation: For calming nervous or vicious animals during examination, x-rays, or transport.
• Pre-Medication: Given 30-45 minutes before surgery to potentiate anesthetics (barbiturates/ketamine).
• Antiemetic: Control of motion sickness in dogs and vomiting due to gastritis.
• Tetanus: Used as an adjunct to control muscle spasms in tetanus cases.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Veterinarian):

• Route: Intramuscular (IM) or Slow Intravenous (IV).
• Dogs & Cats:
  • Sedation: 1 mg to 2 mg per kg body weight (IM).
  • Antiemetic: 0.5 mg to 1 mg per kg body weight.
• Cattle & Horses:
  • Sedation (IV): 0.1 mg to 0.15 mg per kg body weight (approx. 5 mL per 1000 kg).
  • Sedation (IM): 0.2 mg to 0.5 mg per kg body weight.
• Swine: 0.5 mg to 1.0 mg per kg body weight (IM).
• Withdrawal Period:
  • Meat: 7 Days.
  • Milk: 48 Hours (4 milkings).

Safety Warnings:

• Hypotension: Causes vasodilation (alpha-adrenergic blockade). Do not use in animals in shock or with severe blood loss.
• Discoloration: Discard the solution if it has turned pink or contains a precipitate.
• Injection Site: IV injection should be given very slowly to prevent collapse.
• Contraindications: Do not use in animals with Strychnine poisoning or Tetanus (unless for spasm control under strict monitoring).
