Dosage & Administration

• Intestinal Amebiasis (Acute): 2 g as a single dose.

• Children: 30 mg/kg body weight as a single dose.
• Administration: Take with food (e.g., during a meal) to improve tolerability. Do not consume alcohol for 72 hours after dosing (Disulfiram-like reaction).

Safety Warnings:

• Alcohol Interaction (WARNING): Causes severe nausea, vomiting, flushing, and headache if alcohol is consumed during therapy and for 3 days after. Strictly Avoid Alcohol.
