• Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI): 0.9 to 1.2 mg/kg IV (provides intubating conditions in <60 seconds).
• Continuous Infusion (ICU): 0.3 to 0.6 mg/kg/hour after an initial bolus.
• Reversal Agents: Sugammadex (direct encapsulator) or Neostigmine (with Atropine/Glycopyrrolate).

Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):

• Ventilatory Support is Mandatory: FATAL WARNING. Rocuronium paralyzes the respiratory muscles (diaphragm). It must NEVER be administered unless facilities for immediate endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation are present, and the practitioner is trained in their use.
• Anaphylaxis: Severe anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions have been reported with NMBAs. Cross-reactivity between different muscle relaxants can occur.
• No Analgesia/Amnesia: Rocuronium DOES NOT affect consciousness or the pain threshold. The patient must be fully anesthetized and sedated before administration to prevent the psychological trauma of being awake but completely paralyzed.
