Product Overview

Dexamethasone is a potent synthetic Corticosteroid (approx. 25-30 times more potent than hydrocortisone). It provides powerful anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects.

  • Bovine Ketosis: Rapidly increases blood glucose levels in dairy cows.
  • Shock & Trauma: Emergency treatment for anaphylactic or endotoxic shock.

Dosage, Safety & Precautions

General Guidelines (As per Vet Prescription):

  • Cattle/Horse: 5ml to 15ml via IM or IV.
  • Dogs/Cats: 0.25ml to 1ml via IM or IV.
  • Intra-articular: 1ml to 5ml depending on joint size.

Precautions:

  • Pregnancy: Do not use in pregnant animals unless induction of abortion/calving is desired (especially in the last trimester).
  • Infection: Corticosteroids suppress immunity; always use concurrent antibiotic therapy if bacterial infection is present.
  • Withdrawal Period: Milk: 60-72 hours. Meat: 7-8 days.
