Product Overview
This formulation combines Ceftriaxone (a broad-spectrum cephalosporin) with Sulbactam (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). Sulbactam protects Ceftriaxone from degradation by bacterial enzymes, restoring its activity against resistant organisms.
It is the “Upgrade” to standard therapy for:
- Resistant Infections: Effective against bacteria that have developed resistance to plain Ceftriaxone (ESBL producers).

Therapeutic Indications
Indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe infections caused by susceptible beta-lactamase producing organisms:

Dosage & Administration
Strict Medical Supervision Required (Hospital Use):
- Adults: 1.5 gm to 3 gm every 24 hours. (Total daily dose should not exceed 4 gm of Ceftriaxone).
- Pediatrics: Based on Ceftriaxone component (50-75 mg/kg/day).
- Frequency: Usually administered once daily due to the long half-life of Ceftriaxone.
- Reconstitution: Reconstitute with Sterile Water for Injection. Use immediately.
Warning:
- Allergy: Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to penicillin or cephalosporins.
- Compatibility: Do not mix with Calcium-containing solutions (RL/Hartmann’s).
