Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Veterinarian):
- Route: Subcutaneous (SC), Intramuscular (IM), or Intravenous (IV).
- General Pre-Anesthetic Dose:
- Dogs/Cats: 0.02 to 0.04 mg per kg body weight.
- Cattle/Horses: 0.03 to 0.06 mg per kg body weight.
- Sheep/Swine: 0.02 to 0.04 mg per kg body weight.
- Organophosphate Antidote Dose:
- All Species: 0.2 mg to 0.5 mg per kg body weight (Higher dose). usually giving 1/4th of the dose IV immediately and the rest SC or IM.
- Withdrawal Period:
- Meat: 14 to 28 Days (depending on dose used).
- Milk: 3 to 5 Days.
Safety Warnings:
- Contraindications: Do not use in animals with Glaucoma (increases intraocular pressure) or Tachycardia (rapid heart rate).
- Ruminants: Use with caution in Cattle/Goats as it reduces rumen motility, potentially leading to bloat (Ruminal Atony).
- Side Effects: Dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, and pupil dilation.
