Cephalothin injection (also spelled Cefalotin) is a sterile, first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. While its use has largely been superseded by newer generations in many clinical settings, it remains a critical tool for surgical prophylaxis and treating susceptible Gram-positive infections.
