Description

Ceftazidime & Sulbactam Injection

Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of synergistic antibiotic combinations. We provide high-purity Ceftazidime & Sulbactam Injection (1.5g / 2.25g), sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile injectable facilities. This “Broad-Spectrum Shield” is a top export to general surgery wards, renal units, and government health ministries in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as a cost-effective solution for mixed aerobic-anaerobic infections where Ceftazidime alone may fail.

Product Overview

This formulation combines Ceftazidime, a third-generation antipseudomonal cephalosporin, with Sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor.

The “Enhanced Stability” Specialist:

  • Synergy (The “One-Two Punch”): Sulbactam protects Ceftazidime from hydrolysis by common beta-lactamases produced by bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus and Bacteroides fragilis. This extends the spectrum of Ceftazidime beyond just Gram-negatives to include many anaerobes and Gram-positives.
  • Acinetobacter Activity: Unlike Tazobactam, Sulbactam itself has intrinsic antibacterial activity against Acinetobacter baumannii, a notorious hospital superbug. This makes the Ceftazidime-Sulbactam combo particularly useful in ICUs battling Acinetobacter outbreaks.
  • Cost-Effective: It offers a broader spectrum than Ceftazidime alone at a lower cost point than Carbapenems, making it an ideal “workhorse” antibiotic for developing markets.

Manufacturing Authority

Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.

  • Hygroscopicity Control: Sulbactam Sodium is highly hygroscopic (absorbs moisture). We process this combination in ultra-low humidity zones (< 20% RH) to prevent the powder from clumping or turning yellow inside the vial.
  • Compatibility Testing: Ceftazidime is acidic while Sulbactam is slightly basic. Our formulation uses precise buffering to ensure that when water is added, the solution reaches a neutral pH (6.0-7.5) instantly, preventing pain upon injection and chemical degradation.

Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)

Indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe infections:

  • Lower Respiratory Tract: Pneumonia and Lung Abscess (mixed flora).
  • Skin & Soft Tissue: Diabetic foot infections, burns, and surgical wound infections.
  • Urinary Tract: Complicated UTIs caused by resistant E. coli or Pseudomonas.
  • Intra-abdominal: Peritonitis (coverage against Bacteroides).
  • Bone & Joint: Osteomyelitis.

Dosage & Administration
