Description
Fortified Procaine Penicillin Injection (Procaine Penicillin G + Penicillin G Sodium)
Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of essential beta-lactam antibiotics. We provide high-purity Fortified Procaine Penicillin for Injection (400,000 IU / 4,000,000 IU), manufactured in dedicated WHO–GMP certified sterile penicillin facilities. This “Dual-Action Depot” specialist is a mandatory export to infectious disease clinics, rural health centers, and government health ministries in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as the frontline, highly cost-effective intervention for Syphilis, Anthrax, and severe Streptococcal infections.
Product Overview
This formulation is a synergistic blend of two Penicillin G salts: Penicillin G Sodium (highly soluble) and Procaine Penicillin G (poorly soluble).
The “Peak & Sustain” Specialist:
- Mechanism (Cell Wall Synthesis Inhibition): Both salts deliver active Penicillin G, which binds to Penicillin-Binding Proteins (PBPs) inside the bacterial cell wall, arresting peptidoglycan cross-linking and causing rapid bacterial cell lysis.
- The Sodium Advantage (The Peak): Penicillin G Sodium dissolves instantly upon reconstitution. After injection, it is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream, providing an immediate, high-peak bactericidal concentration to knock out acute infections quickly.
- The Procaine Advantage (The Depot): Procaine Penicillin G is an equimolar salt of procaine and penicillin. It forms a suspension that remains trapped in the muscle tissue (the “depot”). It slowly dissolves and releases active penicillin into the bloodstream over 12 to 24 hours, maintaining therapeutic minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) without the need for constant re-injection.

Manufacturing Authority
Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.
- Segregated Penicillin Block: To eliminate the risk of fatal anaphylactic cross-contamination, this product is manufactured in a strictly isolated beta-lactam facility with independent HVAC and effluent treatment systems.
- Micronized Suspension Control: The Procaine Penicillin API is highly micronized during processing to ensure that, upon reconstitution, the resulting suspension flows smoothly through standard IM needles without clumping or blocking, ensuring precise dosing and minimal patient trauma.
Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)
Indicated for moderately severe infections caused by penicillin-G susceptible microorganisms:
- Syphilis: Congenital, primary, secondary, and latent syphilis (Treponema pallidum).
- Respiratory Tract Infections: Pneumococcal pneumonia, severe streptococcal pharyngitis/tonsillitis.
- Skin & Soft Tissue Infections: Erysipelas.
- Zoonotic Infections: Anthrax (cutaneous and inhalation), Diphtheria (as an adjunct to antitoxin).
Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician):
- Route: Deep Intramuscular (IM) Injection ONLY. (Administer into the upper outer quadrant of the gluteus maximus).
- CRITICAL WARNING: NEVER ADMINISTER INTRAVENOUSLY (IV). Intravenous injection of procaine penicillin causes severe pulmonary micro-embolization and extreme neurological toxicity.
- Standard Adult Dose: 400,000 IU to 1,200,000 IU IM once daily.
- Syphilis Protocol: Dosing depends heavily on the stage of the disease, often ranging from 600,000 IU to 1,200,000 IU daily for 8 to 15 days.
- Aspiration Check: Before injecting, the plunger must be pulled back to ensure the needle is not in a blood vessel. If blood appears, the needle must be withdrawn and repositioned.
Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):
- Anaphylaxis: Contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Penicillins or Cephalosporins.
- Hoigné’s Syndrome: A severe non-allergic reaction occurring if the drug accidentally enters a vein. Symptoms include sudden intense anxiety, hallucinations, combativeness, and seizures (due to rapid release of procaine in the brain).
- Jarisch-Herxheimer Reaction: A sudden, self-limiting systemic reaction (fever, chills, headache) commonly seen 2 to 12 hours after the first injection for Syphilis, caused by the massive destruction of treponemal spirochetes.
