Description

Lignocaine & Adrenaline Injection (Veterinary)

Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of veterinary local anesthetics. We provide high-purity Lignocaine & Adrenaline Injection, sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile facilities. This “Gold Standard” local anesthetic is a top export to equine surgeons, livestock veterinarians, and pet clinics in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, specifically relied upon for prolonged surgical anesthesia and minimizing operative bleeding.

Product Overview

This formulation contains a strategic combination of Lignocaine Hydrochloride (Rapid Anesthetic) and Adrenaline Bitartrate (Vasoconstrictor).

The “Bloodless Surgery” Specialist:

  • Prolonged Duration: Adrenaline constricts local blood vessels, slowing the absorption of Lignocaine into the bloodstream. This extends the duration of anesthesia by 50-100% compared to Lignocaine alone.
  • Hemostasis: The vasoconstrictor effect of Adrenaline significantly reduces capillary bleeding (oozing) at the incision site, providing a clear surgical field.
  • Lower Toxicity: By delaying systemic absorption, the peak blood levels of Lignocaine are reduced, lowering the risk of systemic toxicity.
  • Rapid Onset: Lignocaine provides immediate nerve block within 2 to 5 minutes.

Manufacturing Authority

Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified veterinary units.

  • Stability Optimized: Adrenaline is prone to oxidation (turning pink/brown). Our filling process uses nitrogen blanketing and bisulfite antioxidants to ensure the solution remains clear and potent throughout its shelf life.
  • pH Balanced: Carefully buffered to ensure effectiveness of the Lignocaine while maintaining stability of the Adrenaline.

Therapeutic Indications (Veterinary Use Only)

Indicated for local anesthesia in Cattle, Horses, Sheep, Goats, Dogs, and Cats:

  • Infiltration Anesthesia: For suturing wounds, removing tumors, or minor skin surgeries.
  • Nerve Blocks: Cornual nerve block (Dehorning), Paravertebral block (Cesarean section / Rumenotomy).
  • Epidural: Caudal epidural anesthesia (Obstetrics/Prolapse repair) – Note: Use with caution in epidurals.
  • Dental Procedures: Nerve blocks for tooth extractions.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Veterinarian):

  • Route: Subcutaneous (SC) infiltration or Perineural (around the nerve). NEVER INTRAVENOUS.
  • Cattle & Horses: 5 mL to 20 mL depending on the site and procedure (e.g., 5-10 mL for cornual block).
  • Dogs: 1 mL to 5 mL (Max dose: 4 mg/kg of Lignocaine).
  • Cats: Use extreme caution (Max dose: 2 mg/kg). Adrenaline-free preferred for extremities.
  • Frequency: Single use per procedure. Effects last 60–120 minutes.
  • Withdrawal Period: Meat (0-1 Day); Milk (0 Days).

Safety Warnings:

  • Extremities Warning: DO NOT USE in extremities (ears, tail, teats, digits) or areas with limited blood supply. The vasoconstriction caused by Adrenaline can lead to tissue necrosis (gangrene) in these areas.
  • Intravenous Danger: Accidental IV injection can cause fatal cardiac arrhythmias (due to Adrenaline) and seizures (due to Lignocaine). Always aspirate before injecting.
  • Discoloration: Do not use if solution is pink or brown.
