Quinapyramine Sulphate & Quinapyramine Chloride Injection (Veterinary)
Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of high-efficacy animal health and veterinary therapies. We provide high-purity Quinapyramine “Pro-salt” Injection (2.5 g / 3 g), manufactured in WHO–GMP certified sterile veterinary facilities. This “Trypanocidal Specialist” is a mandatory export to veterinary departments, livestock ministries, and agro-pharma distributors in Africa, the Middle East, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as the gold standard for the curative and prophylactic treatment of Trypanosomiasis (Surra) in camels, cattle, horses, and dogs.
Product Overview
This formulation contains a synergistic combination of two Quinapyramine salts, functioning as a “Pro-salt” to provide both immediate therapeutic action and long-lasting prophylactic protection.
The “Curative & Depot” Specialist:
- Mechanism (Nucleic Acid Disruption): Quinapyramine actively binds to the DNA and RNA of the Trypanosoma parasite. This profoundly disrupts the parasite’s nucleic acid synthesis and cellular reproduction, effectively clearing the protozoa from the animal’s bloodstream.
- The Sulphate Component (Rapid Action): Quinapyramine Sulphate is highly soluble in water. Upon injection, it rapidly absorbs into the bloodstream, providing an immediate and potent therapeutic effect to cure acute, active infections.
- The Chloride Component (The Depot Effect): Quinapyramine Chloride is practically insoluble. It remains at the injection site, forming a “depot” that slowly releases the active drug into the bloodstream over several months. This provides crucial prophylactic protection (up to 3-4 months) against re-infection in endemic zones (like the Tsetse fly belt).

Manufacturing Authority
Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified veterinary units.
- Suspension Optimization: Because the Chloride salt is insoluble, the powder must form a uniform, lump-free suspension upon reconstitution. Our manufacturing utilizes advanced micronization of the Chloride API to ensure it easily passes through standard veterinary syringe needles (e.g., 16G or 18G) without blocking.
- Aseptic Processing: The API blend is aseptically filled into sterile vials to prevent contamination that could cause severe injection-site abscesses in livestock.
Therapeutic Indications (VETERINARY USE ONLY)
Indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of Trypanosomiasis in livestock and domestic animals:
- Surra Disease: Caused by Trypanosoma evansi in camels, horses, cattle, and dogs.
- Nagana: Caused by T. congolense, T. vivax, and T. brucei in cattle, sheep, and goats (highly prevalent in African Tsetse fly zones).
- Dourine: Caused by T. equiperdum in horses.
Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Veterinary Surgeon):
- Route: Subcutaneous (SC) Injection ONLY. (Inject into the loose skin of the neck or behind the shoulder).
- CRITICAL WARNING: DO NOT ADMINISTER INTRAVENOUSLY (IV). Intravenous injection can be fatal due to acute toxicity.
- Standard Dose: 0.025 ml of the reconstituted suspension per kg of body weight (equivalent to approx. 4.1 to 5 mg/kg of the total pro-salt).
- Preparation: Add 15 ml of sterile water to the 2.5g vial. Shake vigorously to create a uniform suspension immediately prior to drawing into the syringe.
- Massage: Thoroughly massage the injection site to disperse the depot and reduce local swelling.
Safety Warnings & Withdrawal Periods (CRITICAL):
- Injection Site Reactions: Local swelling and painful nodules at the SC injection site are very common due to the depot effect of the Chloride salt. Divide large volumes into two separate injection sites.
- Toxicity (Overdose): Extremely toxic in overdose. Symptoms include profuse salivation, sweating, muscle tremors, tachycardia, and collapse. There is no specific antidote.
- Withdrawal Period: Meat: 21 days. Milk: 4 days (Subject to local regulatory standards; must be strictly observed before human consumption).
