Lansoprazole Injection

Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of high-stability proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). We provide high-purity Lansoprazole Injection (30 mg), sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile lyophilized facilities. This “Gastric Acid” specialist is a top export to gastroenterology wards, surgical recovery units, and government health ministries in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as a rapid and potent alternative for acid suppression in patients unable to tolerate oral therapy.

Product Overview

This formulation contains Lansoprazole Sodium, a substituted benzimidazole that acts as a specific proton pump inhibitor.

The “Rapid-Release” Specialist:

  • Mechanism (The “Final Blockade”): Lansoprazole is a prodrug that accumulates in the acidic secretory canaliculi of the gastric parietal cell. There, it is converted into its active sulfenamide form, which covalently binds to the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme (the proton pump). This permanently disables the pump, blocking the final step of acid secretion.
  • Bioavailability Advantage: Intravenous Lansoprazole provides 100% bioavailability immediately, ensuring rapid pH control (pH > 4 or > 6) which is critical for clot stability in peptic ulcer bleeding.
  • Stress Ulcer Prophylaxis: It is widely used in ICU settings to prevent stress-related mucosal damage (SRMD) in ventilated or critically ill patients.

Manufacturing Authority

Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.

  • Lyophilization Cycle: Lansoprazole is heat-sensitive. Our manufacturing utilizes a specialized low-temperature lyophilization cycle (“freeze-drying”) to remove moisture without degrading the active molecule, resulting in a porous cake that dissolves instantly.
  • Alkaline Stability: PPIs are unstable in acidic environments. Our formulation includes alkaline buffers (Meglumine/NaOH) to ensure the solution remains stable after reconstitution, preventing precipitation in the IV bag.

Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)

Indicated for short-term treatment (up to 7 days) when oral administration is not possible:

  • Erosive Esophagitis: Treatment and healing of severe acid reflux damage.
  • Peptic Ulcer Disease: Gastric and Duodenal ulcers.
  • Hypersecretory Conditions: Pathological hypersecretion including Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.
  • GI Bleeding: Adjunct therapy to prevent rebleeding after endoscopic hemostasis.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician):

  • Route: Intravenous (IV) Infusion ONLY.
  • Standard Dose: 30 mg once daily.
  • Infusion Time: Administer over 30 minutes.
  • Reconstitution Protocol (CRITICAL):
    • Step 1: Inject 5 ml of Sterile Water for Injection into the vial. Shake gently until dissolved.
    • Step 2: Dilute the reconstituted solution in 50 ml of 0.9% Sodium Chloride (Saline) or 5% Dextrose/Lactated Ringer’s.
    • Filter: Unlike some other PPIs, standard Lansoprazole formulations usually require the use of an in-line filter (1.2 micron) during infusion to catch any micro-precipitates (check specific brand insert).

Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):

  • Infusion Reaction: Rapid infusion can cause anaphylactoid reactions. Do not inject as an IV Bolus (“Push”). Must be infused over 30 mins.
  • Liver Impairment: Dose reduction (15 mg) may be needed in severe hepatic dysfunction.
  • Hypomagnesemia: Monitor magnesium levels in patients on prolonged therapy or diuretics.
  • Interaction: May decrease absorption of drugs dependent on gastric pH (e.g., Ketoconazole, Iron salts).
