Description

Paracetamol, Caffeine, Phenylephrine HCl & CPM Tablets

Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of fixed-dose combination (FDC) cold and flu therapies. We provide high-stability Paracetamol, Caffeine, Phenylephrine & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Tablets, sourced from WHO–GMP certified solid dosage facilities. This “Quadruple-Action” formulation is a top export to pharmacy chains, general practitioners, and OTC distribution networks in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as the definitive “All-in-One” remedy for the symptomatic relief of influenza and the common cold.

Product Overview

This formulation combines an analgesic, a stimulant, a decongestant, and an antihistamine to target every symptom of the viral cold simultaneously.

The “Total Relief” Specialist:

  • Paracetamol (Analgesic/Antipyretic): Reduces fever and alleviates body aches (myalgia) and headaches by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the CNS.
  • Phenylephrine HCl (Decongestant): A selective alpha-1 adrenergic agonist that constricts swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages, relieving a blocked nose without the cardiac risks of older decongestants like PPA.
  • Chlorpheniramine Maleate (Antihistamine): A potent H1-receptor blocker that dries up nasal secretions (rhinorrhea), stops sneezing, and reduces watery eyes.
  • Caffeine (Adjuvant):
    • Analgesic Booster: Enhances the pain-relieving efficacy of Paracetamol by up to 40%.
    • Alertness Aid: Counteracts the drowsiness and sedation commonly caused by Chlorpheniramine, allowing the patient to remain functional during the day.

Manufacturing Authority

Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.

  • Chemical Stability: Phenylephrine and CPM can interact with Paracetamol degradants if not properly stabilized. We use compatible excipients and controlled granulation processes to prevent “Maillard reactions” that cause tablet discoloration (browning).
  • Content Uniformity: Since CPM and Phenylephrine are present in very small quantities (low dose) compared to the bulky Paracetamol (high dose), we utilize geometric dilution blending to ensure every tablet has the exact amount of decongestant and antihistamine.

Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)

Indicated for the symptomatic relief of Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTI):

  • Common Cold & Flu: Relieves runny nose, sneezing, and fever.
  • Sinusitis: Reduces sinus pressure and headache.
  • Hay Fever: Manages allergic rhinitis symptoms combined with headache.
  • Post-Viral Fatigue: Caffeine helps overcome the lethargy associated with viral infections.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician):

  • Route: Oral.
  • Adults & Children > 12 years: 1 tablet every 6 to 8 hours.
  • Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.
  • Duration: Do not use for more than 5-7 days. If fever persists for >3 days, consult a doctor.
  • Administration: Swallow whole with water. Can be taken with food to reduce gastric upset.

Safety Warnings:

  • Liver Toxicity: Contains Paracetamol. Overdose (taking with other Paracetamol products) can cause fatal liver damage. Strictly avoid alcohol.
  • Hypertension: Phenylephrine can raise blood pressure. Caution in patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart disease.
  • Sedation: Although Caffeine counteracts it, CPM can still cause drowsiness in sensitive individuals. Caution while driving.
  • Glaucoma/Prostate: Antihistamines can worsen Narrow-Angle Glaucoma and Urinary Retention (BPH).
