Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician/Surgeon):

• Administration: Taken orally, with or without food.
• Swallowing Protocol (CRITICAL): Capsules MUST be swallowed whole with a full glass of water while sitting or standing upright. Clindamycin capsules can easily lodge in the esophagus and cause severe chemical esophageal ulceration if taken dry or immediately before lying down.
• Serious Infections (Adults): 150 mg to 300 mg every 6 hours.
• More Severe Infections (Adults): 300 mg to 450 mg every 6 hours.

Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):

• BLACK BOX WARNING (Pseudomembranous Colitis): Clindamycin therapy drastically alters normal bowel flora, frequently leading to the overgrowth of Clostridioides difficile (C. diff). This can cause severe, potentially fatal pseudomembranous colitis.
