Description
Cefoperazone & Sulbactam Injection 2g
Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of high-potency antibiotic combinations for critical care. We provide high-purity Cefoperazone & Sulbactam Injection (2 g), sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile injectable facilities. This “Heavy-Duty Bio-Shield” is a top export to intensive care units (ICU), trauma centers, and government health ministries in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, specifically designed for high-dose empirical therapy in severe nosocomial and intra-abdominal infections.
Product Overview
This formulation combines Cefoperazone (1000 mg), a third-generation anti-pseudomonal cephalosporin, with Sulbactam (1000 mg), a beta-lactamase inhibitor, in a balanced 1:1 Ratio.
The “ICU Empirical” Specialist:
- Maximum Potency (1:1 Ratio): Unlike the 2:1 ratio, this 2g vial provides a higher load of Sulbactam (1g). Since Sulbactam has intrinsic activity against Acinetobacter baumannii (a major ICU superbug), this high-sulbactam ratio is preferred for treating ventilator-associated pneumonia and complex hospital-acquired infections.
- Double-Barreled Defense: It covers the “Deadly Trio” of hospital pathogens: Pseudomonas (via Cefoperazone), Acinetobacter (via Sulbactam), and Anaerobes (via the combination).
- Biliary Concentration: Retains the massive biliary excretion of Cefoperazone, making it the supreme choice for severe Cholecystitis and Cholangitis where surgical intervention is delayed.

Manufacturing Authority
Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.
- Sterile Micro-Blending: The 1:1 ratio requires precise blending of two powders with different densities. We use advanced aseptic homogenization to ensure that every 2g vial contains exactly 1g of each component, preventing “sub-therapeutic” dosing.
- Moisture Control: Sulbactam is highly hygroscopic. Our manufacturing suites are maintained at ultra-low humidity (< 18% RH) to ensure the powder remains free-flowing and dissolves instantly without clumping.
Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)
Indicated for the treatment of severe, polymicrobial infections:
- Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP): Especially involving Acinetobacter or Pseudomonas.
- Severe Intra-abdominal Infections: Peritonitis, Pancreatic Abscess (High anaerobic coverage).
- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID): Severe cases requiring hospitalization.
- Complicated UTIs: Pyelonephritis with underlying pathology.
- Septicemia: Gram-negative sepsis in immunocompromised patients.
Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician):
- Route: Intravenous (IV) Infusion Preferred. (Deep IM possible with Lidocaine).
- Standard Adult Dose: 2 g (1 vial) every 12 hours.
- Severe Infections: 2 g every 8 hours (Total 6g/day).
- Renal Impairment: Dosage regimen should be adjusted based on Sulbactam clearance if GFR < 30 ml/min. (Cefoperazone requires no adjustment).
- Reconstitution: Dissolve 2g vial in 10-20ml WFI/Saline. Shake vigorously.
Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):
- Disulfiram-like Reaction (ALCOHOL WARNING): Strictly NO ALCOHOL for 72 hours after injection. The NMTT side chain blocks alcohol metabolism, causing severe vomiting, flushing, and shock.
- Bleeding Risk: Prolonged use may cause Vitamin K deficiency (Hypoprothrombinemia). Monitor PT/INR in elderly or malnourished patients.
