Doxycycline Hyclate Injection

Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of high-stability tetracycline antibiotics. We provide high-purity Doxycycline Hyclate Injection (100 mg), sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile injectable facilities. This “Intracellular Specialist” is a top export to infectious disease units, gynecology clinics, and government health ministries in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as the primary defense against atypical bacteria, severe Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), and biological threats like Anthrax.

Product Overview

This formulation contains Doxycycline Hyclate, a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic derived from oxytetracycline.

The “Intracellular” Specialist:

  • Atypical Pathogen Mastery: Unlike beta-lactams that target cell walls, Doxycycline enters the bacterial cell and inhibits protein synthesis. This makes it highly effective against “atypical” bacteria that lack cell walls (like Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Chlamydia) and intracellular pathogens (like Rickettsia and Legionella).
  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID): It is the Gold Standard (often with Cefoxitin) for treating severe PID caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, preventing infertility.
  • Severe Malaria: Used intravenously in combination with Quinine or Artesunate for the treatment of severe Chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum malaria.

Manufacturing Authority

Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.

  • Photo-Degradation Control: Doxycycline turns toxic (brown/black) if exposed to light. We process and package under strict amber-light conditions to ensure the product remains yellow and potent.
  • Acidity Management: Doxycycline solutions are naturally acidic (pH 2-3), which causes vein irritation. Our lyophilized formula includes buffering agents to moderate the pH upon dilution, reducing the risk of thrombophlebitis during infusion.

Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)

Indicated for the treatment of severe infections where oral therapy is not feasible:

  • Atypical Pneumonia: Caused by Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, or Legionella.
  • Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID): Acute infection of the female reproductive tract.
  • Rickettsial Infections: Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Typhus group infections.
  • Anthrax: Inhalational Anthrax (post-exposure prophylaxis and treatment).
  • Severe Malaria: Adjunct therapy.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician):

  • Route: Intravenous (IV) Infusion ONLY. (NEVER IM or SC).
  • Adults: 200 mg on Day 1 (100 mg every 12 hours), followed by 100 mg to 200 mg daily.

  • Anthrax: 100 mg every 12 hours for 60 days (switch to oral when possible).

    • Dilution: Further dilute in 100ml to 1000ml of Saline or Dextrose.
    • Infusion Rate: Slow infusion over 1 to 4 hours. Rapid infusion causes vein collapse.

Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):

  • Thrombophlebitis: High risk of vein inflammation. Always dilute well and infuse slowly. Rotate infusion sites.
  • Tooth Discoloration: CONTRAINDICATED in Children < 8 years and Pregnancy (2nd/3rd trimester). It binds to calcium and permanently stains developing teeth yellow/gray.
