Description
Atropine Sulphate Injection
Healthy Inc is a specialized global supplier and exporter of essential emergency resuscitative drugs. We provide high-purity Atropine Sulphate Injection (0.6 mg / 1 mg), sourced from WHO–GMP certified sterile injectable facilities. This “Life-Saving Antidote” is a top export to ambulance services, military field hospitals, and toxicology centers in Africa, LATAM, and Southeast Asia, serving as the primary treatment for symptomatic bradycardia and organophosphate pesticide poisoning.
Product Overview
This formulation contains Atropine Sulphate, a naturally occurring tropane alkaloid extracted from Atropa belladonna (Deadly Nightshade), acting as a competitive antagonist of muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.
The “System Accelerator” Specialist:
- Mechanism (Anticholinergic): Atropine blocks the action of the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine at parasympathetic sites in smooth muscle, secretory glands, and the CNS. It essentially “releases the brakes” on the heart.
- Cardiac Action: By blocking the Vagus nerve’s slowing effect on the heart, it increases the firing rate of the Sinoatrial (SA) node and conduction through the AV node, rapidly correcting slow heart rates (bradycardia).
- Antidote Action: In organophosphate (insecticide) or nerve gas poisoning, acetylcholine builds up to toxic levels. Atropine blocks these receptors, drying up excessive secretions (saliva, bronchial mucus) that would otherwise drown the patient.

Manufacturing Authority
Marketed and Distributed by Healthy Inc from WHO-GMP & ISO 9001:2015 certified units.
- Sterility Assurance: Manufactured in Class 100 cleanrooms using terminal sterilization. The solution is strictly tested for bacterial endotoxins to prevent fever/shock during emergency IV administration.
- pH Stability: Atropine is sensitive to alkaline hydrolysis. We strictly control the pH (3.0 – 6.5) to ensuring the molecule remains stable and potent throughout its shelf life.
Therapeutic Indications (Human Use)
Indicated for emergency and pre-operative use:
- Symptomatic Bradycardia: First-line drug for hemodynamically unstable slow heart rate (ACLS Protocol).
- Organophosphate Poisoning: Antidote for exposure to agricultural insecticides (Chlorpyrifos, Malathion) or nerve agents (Sarin).
- Pre-operative Medication: To reduce excessive salivation and bronchial secretions before surgery (antisialagogue).
- Ophthalmology: To dilate pupils (mydriasis) for eye exams (though drops are preferred, injection is systemic).
Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dosage (Strictly as per Physician/Emergency Protocol):
- Bradycardia (IV): 0.5 mg to 1 mg IV Push every 3-5 minutes. Maximum total dose 3 mg (vagolytic dose).
- Organophosphate Poisoning (IV/IM): Massive Doses Required. Initially 2-4 mg IV, repeated every 5-10 minutes until signs of “Atropinization” appear (dry mouth, dilated pupils, flushed skin, tachycardia). In severe poisoning, hundreds of milligrams may be needed over days.
- Pre-anesthesia (IM): 0.3 mg to 0.6 mg IM 30-60 minutes before induction.
Safety Warnings (CRITICAL):
- Glaucoma (WARNING): Causes pupil dilation which can dangerously increase intraocular pressure in Narrow-Angle Glaucoma.
- Tachycardia: Will cause rapid heart rate. Monitor ECG.
- Heat Stroke: Suppresses sweating (anhidrosis), leading to hyperthermia in hot environments.
- Dryness: Causes severe dry mouth (xerostomia) and urinary retention.
